I study Business Analytics & Finance. I also spend my evenings reading boards and writing firmware. Those two facts belong in the same paragraph, and this is my attempt to explain why.
The pivot
I came up through finance — a data-science bootcamp at Le Wagon in London, then Business Analytics & Finance at Hult in Boston. Somewhere in there the problems I wanted to work on stopped being purely financial and started being physical: sensing, RF, autonomous systems, and fusing messy data from many sources.
So I’m moving toward the hardware/software intersection: embedded systems plus data science. The Harvard Extension course on wearables and computer vision (DGMD E-14) is part of that, and so is StrideSense.
The why underneath it
My family runs a specialty coffee farm that practices regenerative agriculture. That’s where the agritech pull comes from — it isn’t abstract, it’s home.
The longer arc is Brazil. I want to help make Brazil more competitive in agritech and in defense-adjacent technology. That’s the mission that makes the late nights with a multimeter make sense.
TODO(JP): if you want, add a more personal paragraph here in your own voice — this draft is deliberately conservative so it only states what’s on the record.
